Car Restoration - Paint Maintenance Products.

Well guys I’ve told you how to pint, prep, restore, and build a reliable high performance engine, but never have I told you what products I suggest to maintain the nice new paint job on the car that you have just restored.

The decision is up to you in the end, but I use nothing but Meguiars auto products, over the years I have tried a lot of different products, and no products make my car look as good as Meguiars do, with less less problems, and more driving.

They have had over 100 years in business to perfect their products, and during that time have done the best job possible in the advance of their products, from their car waxes, all the way to their buffing compounds, and car washing products.

If your thinking that I work for Meguiars, I don’t, I own Red Line Restoration, a muscle car restoration shop, and I use them every day, they just do the best job of keeping paint in good shape, I have used, and still do use the show car glaze, yellow #26 wax, which has now been replaced by the NXT Next gen wax, and the NXT paste wax.

I have used almost all of their products, and will never even entertain the idea of using a different brand of auto paint maintenance product, I just know that these products will always provide the best result, with the least damage to my paint.

They simply have the best formula for their products, there is nothing better, I will however inform you that after you paint your car, the paint will need about one month to cure before you use any cleaning products at all on it, never do anything but wash at the first, and wait at least one week before yo do that.

Washing or waxing to soon can cause irreversible damage to your fresh paint, if you wash to soon, and notice that you have hard water spots on your paint, these will most likely not be removable, I have seen it more then once.

But given the right amount of time, and the use of Meguiars paint cleaning products, you will never be disappointed with the paint on your hot rod, or muscle car, these are professional show car products, and professional is the outcome that you can expect from them.
