Old School rodz vs high dollar rods [by xm-hardtop]

General Discussion:: Old School rodz vs high dollar rods
I am becoming very bored with the trend in high dollar rods these days it is not very often that we see anything ground breaking or interesting to me most of them look like they could have been built by the same person ,
the trend towards billet everything does not help either, to me they like model car kits take 1 fibreglass body , 1 crate motor and transmission ,1 preassembled rolling chassis , 4 billet wheels , add paint ,upholstery and more billet accesories to taste and you have a hot rod .

All rather souless i think ,thank god for the Old Skool movement all rods built this way are as individual as their owners most are built by the owner and parts are sourced from places like wreckers yards swap meets,
or found through freinds or aquaintences resulting in a truly individual build that reflects the personality and the craftsmanship / artistic talent of the owner.
Just like the old days.
